Education / Qualifications

Essential criteria

  • Member of the GPhC
  • Masters Degree with demonstrable competency based training with final exams or equivalent
  • Post graduate diploma in clinical / psychiatric pharmacy

Desirable criteria

  • Registered non-medical prescriber

Experience

Essential criteria

  • Considerable hospital experience
  • Considerable mental health / training experience
  • Experience of managing and supervising staff
  • Experience of developing prescribing policies
  • Experience of designing and undertaking clinical audits

Desirable criteria

  • Experience of developing and delivering training
  • Experience of working in both primary and secondary care.
  • Experience in working MH inpatient services

Knowledge

Essential criteria

  • Have knowledge of clinical governance, clinical audit and risk management
  • Knowledge of primary and secondary care, prescribing and medicines management
  • Knowledge of Mental Health therapeutics and services
