The Opportunity

We are seeking a Senior Sous Chef to play a pivotal role within the kitchen leadership team. Working closely with the Head Chef you will help drive standards, mentor the brigade and maintain consistency across all services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Head Chef in the day-to-day leadership of the kitchen
  • Lead services confidently ensuring consistent execution at rosette standard
  • Oversee and motivate the brigade setting the tone for professionalism and discipline
  • Assist with menu development, seasonal changes and daily specials
  • Manage stock control, ordering, GP awareness and supplier relationships
  • Maintain exemplary food safety, hygiene and organisational standards
  • Contribute to staff training, development and progression
  • Support rota planning and kitchen workflow to ensure smooth, efficient service
About You
  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Sous in a rosette-level or high-quality pub/restaurant
  • Strong grounding in modern British cooking with respect for seasonal produce
  • Calm, organised and decisive during busy services
  • A natural leader who sets standards through example
  • Commercially aware with good kitchen admin and cost control skills
  • Passionate about food team culture and long-term consistency
