Job Overview

Responsible for the provision of an effective and efficient Procurement Service to business stakeholders for the assigned categories. This will include execution of strategic sourcing using market research and cost analysis to identify and contract with best fit suppliers, and their ongoing supplier management, to ensure supply assurance of materials and services meeting quality standards and specifications.

Responsibilities
  • Internal customer engagement to understand business needs and expected outcomes
  • Spend analysis of assigned categories to identify sourcing and/or negotiation opportunities and to deliver Supplier Segmentation classification
  • Develop and deliver the annual strategic sourcing plan, and benefits initiatives, including required stakeholder management
  • New Source or annual Negotiation planning and sign off according to requirements of Supplier Segmentation and delegated authorities; subsequent execution to capture outcomes in appropriate formal documents including contracts, SLAs, price books and any other appropriate schedules.
  • Cost Standards setting in support of budgeting and materials price variance (MPV) analysis.
  • Represent function or assigned category in relevant meetings with a focus on achieving integrated supply chain or Business Services and lowest total cost/whole life costing outcomes.
  • Undertake and keep abreast of market research for assigned categories, demonstrating capacity and cost driver understanding for key materials and suppliers/industries.
  • Supplier management including forecasting provision for capacity and supply assurance.
  • Support supplier performance for assigned categories to deliver supplier KPI's and continuous improvement.
  • Establish and follow supplier management calendar in line with supplier segmentation.
  • Support cross functional initiatives and projects as directed for assigned categories.
  • Ensure MOQ's and stock turns are optimised to balance cost with working capital and space utilisation.
  • Ensure compliance to Company Policies, SOP's and WI's (work instructions).
  • Undertake other Procurement and Purchasing duties as directed from time to time by line management.
  • Own and manage the Procurement aspects of benefits tracking tool, working with Budget holders and Finance to release benefits back to the business from Budgets.
  • Ensure clean transitions incl communications for on boarding and off boarding new suppliers and or solutions.
  • Develop and deliver communications for approved vendor lists and use of subject matter expert functions to manage self 'purchasing' activities.
Qualifications

  • Excellent negotiation and supplier management skills.
  • Experience in the procurement of Packaging is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in relevant procurement software and tools.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
