About the role

We’re looking for a Senior Software Developer to join our Workplace Product Engineering team. In this role, you\'ll help build and improve our workplace products. You\'ll collaborate with product designers, engineers, and product managers to develop high-quality software solutions that meet the needs of our customers. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of software development best practices, be able to work effectively with cross-functional teams, and be passionate about delivering innovative software solutions.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and update the Windows version of our flagship product
  • Design and develop high-quality software solutions that meet the needs of our customers
  • Work alongside our UX designers to implement the best user interface and user experience
  • Work in an agile development team
  • Work with our Infrastructure team who will assist with hosting and server configurations, and ensure that all software meets the highest standards of security
  • Collaborate to deliver world class software in conjunction with our QA team
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in software development
  • Bring a mindset of ownership and self-motivation
  • Be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Mentor and train junior developers on our team as required
  • 3+ years’ commercial experience in software development
  • C# and .Net
  • Experience with version control tools (e.g., Git)
  • Experience with agile processes
  • Strong understanding of software development best practices, including design patterns, data structures, and algorithms
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to learn new technologies quickly
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Degree or equivalent in computing or a closely related subject (Engineering)
  • Experience of creating User Interfaces
  • Familiarity with MS DevOps practices and tools (e.g. Azure devops, Pipelines etc.)
  • Experience of development using database technologies (e.g., SQL, MySQL)
  • Experience in writing and executing unit tests
  • Experience working in an Agile scrum environment
  • Experience of working within a quality system
