Senior Site Engineer
Location: Worcester, West Midlands
Salary: £55,000 – £70,000 + benefits
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent
Hours: 45 per week

The Opportunity

We’re seeking an experienced Senior Site Engineer with strong leadership skills to join our West Midlands construction team. This is an exciting opportunity to take responsibility for the engineering and technical aspects of landmark projects, starting with a new, sustainably designed £10m primary school development in the Golden Valley.

As Senior Site Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality construction works, ensuring compliance, safety, and efficiency, while leaving a lasting impact on the communities we serve. Following this project, you’ll continue to work on a diverse range of schemes across the region.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Overseeing site engineering and technical aspects of construction delivery.
• Ensuring works comply with contract specifications and drawings, maintaining accurate records.
• Leading quality control and compliance processes across the project.
• Building strong working relationships with clients, advisors, and stakeholders.
• Implementing policies for sustainability, health & safety, quality, training, and development.
• Identifying and resolving issues proactively, supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
• Managing and developing junior engineering staff, including appraisals.
• Supporting project success through effective problem-solving and logical decision-making.

What You’ll Bring

• Proven experience in a similar role with a main contractor.
• Relevant technical knowledge and background in construction.
• Degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant subject (preferred).
• SMSTS qualification and an appropriate CSCS card (essential).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organisational abilities.
• Ability to manage workload, meet deadlines, and maintain attention to detail.
