Why This Role Matters

The Senior Security technician administers security functionality for various systems using the security framework established to protect the assets of the company. This position is responsible for the maintenance of security systems for all offices, sale sites, facilities and warehouses throughout the Americas.

How you'll make an impact
  • Install, inspect and service access control, cctv, intrusion detection, intercom, and other peripheral equipment
  • Install and program security software as needed for installation, maintenance, and upgrade
  • Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance on peripheral devices
  • Produce routine reports on device and system status
  • Work with and give instruction to vendors during installation projects
  • Implement security design concepts, which will comply with both local and international codes as well as company standards
  • Troubleshoot problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions based on experience and research
  • Monitor and assess threats and risks to the company through application security scanning to mitigate threats to the company's assets
What you’ll bring to the team
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred; or equivalent work experience
  • NYS Security Installer Licensed preferred
  • CCURE 9000 and Victor VMS experience
  • Minimum of two (2) years related work experience
  • Strong in physical and mathematical science, physics and chemistry, thorough knowledge on engineering sciences such as fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, and electric circuits
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents; write routine reports and correspondence
  • Sound knowledge of networking
  • Sound knowledge of security system installation and ability to learn new systems
  • Facilitator of progressive change
  • Takes initiative and achieves results
  • Availability for out of hours work (weekends and some late nights)
  • Potential travels around the United States of America
Physical Requirements
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit and stand; use hands and arms; speak and hear; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
Work Environment
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to high, precarious places
  • The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, outside weather conditions, and risk of electrical shock
