Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Sales Engineer to join our Fluid Connectors Division on a permanent basis being part of the General Industry team responsible and accountable for the sales and growth of the Automotive and Plastics markets, this role will cover Northern UK (area above WR/OX/MK postcodes) inclusive of Scotland as required.

The main responsibilities for this role are:

  • Ensure effective budget planning and execution to meet financial targets.
  • Achieve agreed revenue growth targets through solution selling
  • Develop ambitious and achievable business plans with support of the Local Heads of Business
  • Continue to grow revenues in both new and existing businesses through business development activities
  • Engage and support customers (50% Automotive & 50% Plastics)
    • Target 30 visits (face-to-face or video conference) per month
    • Nurture and grow a portfolio of existing accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction
    • Identify and develop new business opportunities in line with strategic goals
  • Collaborate with wider team to deliver tailored solutions and drive engagement
    • Prepare and present proposals, technical specifications, and negotiate pricing
    • Provide accurate sales reports, forward opportunities and sales forecasting
  • Effective use of CRM to develop and maintain a sales pipeline
    • Pre-planning activity & recording of relevant activities
    • Allocating and forward tasks
  • Align with our Company's vision, values and target behaviours

We are ideally looking for someone to be based in the South Yorkshire, East or West Midlands area.

Qualifications

  • Minimum requirement of HNC in an Engineering discipline or relevant experience
  • Minimum of 3-5 years external technical solution sales/ account management experience
  • Account Management and development of new customers
  • Strong knowledge of the automotive and/or plastics sectors
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • A proactive, results-driven mindset with a passion for building relationships
  • Comfortable working independently while contributing as part of a high-performing team
  • Willing and able to travel across the Northern UK Area
  • Full UK driving license required
