Responsibilities

• Deliver functional & process safety expertise across the asset lifecycle.
• Manage the functional safety lifecycle (IEC 61508 / 61511) up to SIL 3.
• Lead and support HAZOP, LOPA, QRA, FMEA, FTA, and related studies.
• Develop SRS, proof testing, and safety management arrangements.
• Support ALARP demonstrations, ATEX/DSEAR, and risk reduction strategies.

Functional & Process Safety Engineer

UK (Flexible) | Permanent

An independent engineering & technology consultancy is looking for a Functional & Process Safety Engineer to support safety-critical projects across energy, low-carbon, and industrial sectors.

What you’ll do :

• Deliver functional & process safety expertise across the asset lifecycle
• Manage the functional safety lifecycle (IEC 61508 / 61511) up to SIL 3
• Lead and support HAZOP, LOPA, QRA, FMEA, FTA and related studies
• Develop SRS , proof testing, and safety management arrangements

• Act as a technical authority across multiple projects and clients

What we’re looking for :
