Description

Key responsibilities include:

  • Advise on complex risk, compliance, regulatory, ethical, data protection, and conflict-of-interest matters.
  • Lead and manage risk and compliance projects, including advising on new business initiatives with divisional and business leads.
  • Produce, analyse, and monitor risk and compliance data to identify strengths and weaknesses in processes.
  • Develop and maintain firmwide risk materials, including precedents, policies, communications, and training; deliver tailored training across divisions.
  • Monitor regulatory changes, escalate higher‑risk matters, mentor junior team members, and support additional ad‑hoc duties.
Profile

The successful candidate would have:

  • Advanced knowledge of core law‑firm compliance areas, including SRA Standards and Regulations, data protection, and anti‑money laundering legislation.
  • A collaborative approach and positive attitude, with a commercial mindset toward risk management.
  • Strong decision‑making skills developed through experience in a similar compliance or risk role.
  • Proven experience in managing, coaching, or developing others.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team, proactively supporting colleagues while meeting deadlines across your own projects and workstreams.
