About the role

You will work at the heart of the Northern Europe (UK & Ireland) commercial organisation, leading innovation and compliance activities with the relevant cross-functional teams to enable successful completion. You will be able to influence directions of the project, and to independently manage cross-functional stakeholders, with a solution focus. You will ensure product compliance with all local regulations and Reckitt internal processes.

  • Assess the impact of the new and emerging legislation and regulatory requirements.
  • Interpret and apply legal regulatory requirements and seek consultations (where required).
  • Take individual project responsibility, communicate progress and mitigate risks to execute successfully.
  • Collaborate on cross-functional initiatives and projects and build trusted partnerships.
  • Consistently review and update compliant communication documentation.
  • Drive continuous improvement to enhance performance.
  • Actively contribute to policy, guidelines, and working instructions development related to subject matter expertise.
Senior Regulatory Affairs Associate
  • Hold independent responsibility for driving regulatory innovation, compliance activities and improvements.
  • Demonstrate execution excellence during role development.
  • Develop a deeper understanding of commercial elements in the role.
  • Contribute to design and execution and appreciate how factors influence and shape regulatory and safety strategies.
  • Work closely with cross-functional partners to build trusted partnerships, enabling opportunities for optimised collaboration and furthering potential.
Your responsibilities
  • Regulatory new products development and compliance for Northern Europe products and authorisations, including preparation and submission of changes and renewals to the Regulatory Agencies, as required.
  • Extensive experience for biocides registrations, BPR and Detergents regulations.
  • Determination of the impact of updates to the biocidal product regulation for the products in the NEU portfolio and communication with cross functional stakeholders to guide the business to make the best choice.
  • Contribute to due diligence activities related to new products or site transfers of existing products.
  • Creation and assessment of internal quality and non-quality changes in line with the change control management system.
  • Submission of changes to the biocide’s registrations and labelling.
  • Artwork review and approvals, including compliance with CLP.
  • Work collaboratively with the relevant country teams to establish and implement the regulatory strategies within agreed timescales to bring competitive advantage to Reckitt brands.
  • Provide support when required to the Vigilance and Quality Teams to ensure compliance with vigilance and quality obligations.
  • Interpret and apply all relevant legislation in NEU to keep the Reckitt business up to date on National regulatory trends, risks and opportunities.
  • Participation to industry association working groups as required.
  • Provide regulatory support and advice to other functions to ensure products are maintained in compliance with the local requirements.
The experience we're looking for
  • University Science degree in relevant scientific discipline and regulatory experience within OTC industry.
  • Thorough understanding of the current UK, Irish and European regulations, laws, guidelines and industry requirements.
  • Proven experience of working independently, in project delivery, and in managing workload and priorities with tight deadlines.
  • Vast experience in decision-making through technical expertise, scientific capabilities, and complex data analysis.
  • Strong ability in influencing and in building good relationships and challenge constructively and confidently.
  • Ability to consolidate large volumes of complex information, interpret & construct straightforward plans.
  • Confident and capable of resolving conflict situations.
  • Competent with PC tools and information systems.
  • Able to apply appropriate problem-solving techniques to evaluate and resolve operational issues.
