We have an exciting position available for a proactive, enthusiastic Senior Veterinary Nurse to join our friendly and progressive small animal veterinary practice in leafy Twickenham.


About the practice

Twickenham Veterinary Surgery is based in Twickenham, a suburban town with access to lovely cafes, restaurants, and parks. Our Surgery lies on the River Thames and is 10 miles west of Charing Cross, 2 miles south-east of Hounslow, and 2.6 miles north-west of Kingston upon Thames with access to some great transport links.


We have excellent facilities including digital X-ray, ultrasound, multiparameter monitor, endoscope, laser, a dedicated nurse\'s consulting room and we take pride in the work we do.


Role and responsibilities


  • Scheduling the nursing rota, approving holiday requests for the nursing team, and managing the ordering of specialist products such as new equipment and consumables. You will oversee the day-to-day running of the nursing team alongside the Head Nurse, assist with Practice Standards processes, and update SOPs as needed.


Working pattern

This full-time role offers a flexible 4 or 5-day workweek with no weekends or out-of-hours shifts. Typical shifts are either 8:00 am to 4:30 pm or 11:00 am to 7:30 pm, and we are open to discussing part-time arrangements for the right candidate, allowing you to maintain a work-life balance that suits your needs.
