Overview
Hayward Hawk is seeking an experienced Principal Consultant to lead our high-performing Legal Recruitment division. This is a unique opportunity to step into a warm, high performing, established desk. The successful candidate will inherit an active, loyal client base and an established candidate network. With a steady flow of live roles there is an immediate opportunity to generate fees. This desk covers both legal support and qualified-level appointments, with long-standing relationships across NI’s leading law firms and in-house legal teams.
The role
- Manage and further develop an established legal recruitment desk (support & qualified appointments).
- Deliver and exceed personal billing targets through proactive client and candidate engagement and development.
- Develop and grow relationships with new and existing clients, maximising opportunities across the NI legal market.
- Provide consultative advice to clients and candidates on market trends, salary benchmarking, and recruitment processes.
- Contribute to the ongoing growth of the Legal team, with scope to move into a leadership role as the function expands into Dublin and beyond.
The Person
- Proven experience as a recruitment consultant, ideally with exposure to the legal or professional services sector.
- Consistent personal billing track record, with the drive to build on an already high-performing desk.
- Strong relationship-building skills and a consultative approach to client and candidate management.
- Commercially motivated, target-driven, and ambitious to progress towards a 'Head of Legal' position .
