A civil engineering company is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor based in Mold, UK. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of quantity surveying experience, with at least 2 years in a senior role. Key responsibilities include managing cost forecasting and administration on significant projects, ensuring compliance with contract requirements, and maintaining strong communication with stakeholders. Hours: 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday
Salary: Competitive (DOE)
We invite applications for the role of Senior Quantity Surveyor. The appointed individual will be instrumental in cost forecasting and management, beginning with a significant project based in Chester. Reporting directly to the Project Director and supported by the Commercial Director, the Senior Quantity Surveyor will maintain a strong on‑site presence, delivering commercial and contractual guidance to protect the company’s financial and contractual interests. This role ensures full entitlement is realized and that all information is produced accurately and promptly.
Technical Competencies:
Strong commercial acumen with a thorough understanding of standard forms of contract and standard methods of measurement.
Highly computer literate, with advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Skills & Attributes:
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to deliver effective presentations and negotiate persuasively with key stakeholders.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the capacity to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team as well as independently, taking initiative to drive results.
