Overview

SENIOR QUANTITY SURVEYOR

BASED NORTH LANARKSHIRE (HYBRID WORKING), SALARY EXCELLENT PLUS BONUS AND BENEFITS PACKAGE AND CAR ALLOWANCE / COMPANY CAR

Based in North Lanarkshire, Grw Talents client is a design and build provider working in the water sector.

In this role you will strengthen the Commercial team, working as a Senior Quantity Surveyor and based at their Stepps office, with hybrid working available. You will report directly to the Commercial Manager, and you will take responsibility for the Commercial Management of various projects.

Responsibilities
  • QS duties in respect of managing projects and work packages
  • Liaise with design, construction & supply chain teams to capture, analyse & control cost
  • Collaborative work with the client to ensure business requirements are met. Manage the main contract ensuring contractual notices / correspondence are identified & raised
  • Preparation and issue of subcontract documentation
  • Assist in the management and performance of subcontractors
  • Manage the preparation & agreement of applications for payment
  • The preparation of project cost & value reports, budgets and forecasts.
  • Assist in the management and development of junior commercial staff
  • Ensure your own continuous professional development by participating in external networking/conferences/associations/groups, to stay current on industry changes & innovations.
  • Maintain a positive & solution-oriented approach to work, providing open & honest feedback.
Qualifications

Ideally you will be Degree qualified or equivalent, with relevant industry experience, and you may be working towards or have chartered membership of a recognised institution. You'll need to have experience in utilities / civil engineering / MEICA sectors and NEC3 (New Engineering Contract) experience.
