Job description
Responsibilities

Oversee all commercial and financial aspects of marine infrastructure projects, ensuring profitability and value optimisation.

Develop and manage project budgets, cost estimates, and cash flow forecasts.

Conduct regular cost-value reconciliations (CVRs) and financial performance reviews.

Manage procurement processes, tender evaluations, and subcontractor negotiations.

Administer NEC and other standard form contracts, ensuring full compliance and effective risk management.

Prepare and manage claims, variations, and dispute resolutions.

Lead cost control, financial reporting, and commercial reviews with senior management.

Build and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships, acting as a key commercial representative.

Provide leadership, mentoring and training to junior Quantity Surveyors.

Ensure adherence to health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements across all projects.

Requirements

Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.

Minimum 7+ years’ experience in a Quantity Surveying role, with at least 3 years at senior level.

Proven experience delivering marine, coastal, or civil engineering projects.

Strong working knowledge of contract management (NEC preferred).

Excellent commercial awareness, cost management and negotiation skills.

Confident communicator with the ability to engage at all levels, both internally and externally.

Strong leadership and mentoring skills.

Full UK Driving Licence and willingness to travel to project sites as required.
