Senior Quantity Surveyor - Infrastructure Project (Reservoir Works)

An experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor is required to support a major UK civil engineering contractor delivering critical infrastructure works at a live reservoir project in the North West.

This is a high-profile scheme involving complex earthworks, dam safety improvements and long-term asset protection, delivered by one of the UK's leading Tier 1 infrastructure contractors with a strong track record across water, highways and energy frameworks.

The Role

You will take commercial responsibility for a key workstream on site, working closely with project and delivery teams to ensure robust cost control and contractual compliance.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Commercial management of NEC3 contracts
  • Procurement and management of subcontractors
  • Change control, compensation events and forecasting
  • Cost reporting, valuations and final accounts
  • Supporting risk management and value engineering
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor on similar civil engineering or water infrastructure projects
  • Strong NEC3 contract experience is essential
  • Background in earthworks, dams, reservoirs or heavy civils preferred
  • Demonstrably stable employment/contract history
  • Confident communicator able to work on a live, safety-critical site
Working Arrangements
  • 2-3 days per week on site at the reservoir
  • Remainder of the week hybrid/remote
  • Collaborative, well-established commercial team
Rate

£500-£600 per day (PAYE), depending on experience
