Job summary

A prominent technology company in the UK is seeking a Senior Python Developer to build a fullstack AI-powered PII redaction MVP. The ideal candidate will have expert knowledge of Python, front end technologies like CSS/HTML, and experience with Agile methodologies. You will collaborate closely with Data Scientists and take part in designing documentation through the software development life cycle. This is a contract role paying £700 a day, with interviews commencing this week.

Senior Python Developer - Fullstack, AI, SC Cleared, £700 a day

Expert Python Developer with Fullstack development skills required to design and build both the Back End and Front End of an AI-powered Personally Identifiable Information (PII) redaction Minimum Viable Product (MVP). The team's internal Data Scientists have already developed an early prototype, and the Developer will work closely with them to transform this into a secure, scalable redaction service suitable for operational use.

Skills & experience

• Expert knowledge of Python, including Front End technologies such as CSS/HTML and frameworks such as react and angular.
• Expert knowledge of the relational model and database applications.
• Collaboration with internal teams to design, create and maintain software.
• Experienced in working with Agile methodologies, managing tasks and delivering the core functionality of an MVP in fortnightly sprints to validate product concepts.
• Experience of containerisation.
• Creating documentation throughout the software development life cycle (SDLC).
• Working on pre-existing codebases.
• Improving the resilience and stability of software.
• Applying practices to enable continuous delivery.
• Desirable - experience of designing software that allows users to view and interact with documents (PDF, Word) or images.
• Desirable - experience of working with cloud-based platforms such as AWS
