A local government authority is seeking three Senior Surveyors to join their Property Services Team in Gateshead. The successful candidates will manage commercial property aspects including acquisitions, disposals, and valuations. Requirements include a relevant degree and RICS membership or in progress. This position offers competitive salary (£45,091 - £48,226) plus benefits like a robust pension, hybrid work options, and substantial annual leave. A valid driving license is also needed.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for three Senior Surveyor to join our Property Services Team working on either the property management team or the acquisitions and disposals team dealing with disposals, acquisitions, valuation, rent reviews, lettings and all other matters associated with the management of the Council's commercial property portfolio.
You will be required to have a good technical knowledge and extensive experience of commercial property management, including landlord and tenant. You should have good IT skills, with good presentation and negotiation skills, be able to demonstrate the ability to work as part of a team, be self motivated and comfortable handling a constantly challenging workload.
You will hold a relevant degree or similar qualification. We welcome applications from those RICS qualified or imminently sitting their APC. You will need to have a driving licence, access to a car or means to mobility support, Detailed working knowledge of relevant legislation/technical aspects.
Proven experience of property management and/or acquiring and disposing of land and property and valuation.
