Job summary

A leading Civil Engineering contractor in Manchester is seeking a Senior Project Manager to oversee complex engineering schemes. The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership and communication skills, alongside experience managing significant construction projects. This role requires a solid understanding of design packages and NEC Contracts. The candidate will lead the project from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with safety standards. This position requires working on-site five days a week.

Procter Street Resourcing is delighted to be working with a nationally recognised Civil Engineering contractor, recruiting a Senior Project Manager for their Team. Our client has an exceptional reputation in the industry for their collaborative and adaptable approach allowing them to build long lasting relationships, and regularly securing repeat business with their clients.

The role :

The Senior Project Manager will play an instrumental part in overseeing a range of small to large complex civil engineering schemes. You will lead the projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards.

Other duties include :
  • Lead and manage all aspects of the construction project, from planning through to execution and close-out.
  • Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Ensure all work is completed in compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Manage and coordinate the work of the Site Manager, subcontractors, suppliers, and direct labour.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement solutions to keep the project on track.
What are we looking for?

A strong communicator, who can interface effectively with both internal and external stakeholders. You will also have a history of successfully delivering Construction schemes to values in the millions.
