Qualifications

• Experience in delivering HV Transmission & Distribution or Major Civils Projects.
• Experience within a Project Managerial role.
• HNC / HND or NVQ Level 5 (or Degree).
• Experience of working on complex multi-discipline Enhancement projects, delivering within programme and cost controls.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, able to develop close working relationships with clients and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Fully accountable for delivery of projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, in accordance with contract requirements and to budget.
• Set overall standard on projects/contract.
• Ensure project requirements are identified and delivered.
• Identify issues and ensure they are resolved in a controlled and timely manner.
• Ensure contract programmes are planned, reviewed, and delivered.
• Line management of Project Managers, Site Managers, Assistant Site Managers and Section Managers.
• Responsible for effective client relationship management and updates on project/contract progress.
• Ensure risk assessments are created, in place and reviewed as and when required.
• Ensure sufficient resources and materials are in place.
• Resolve most operational issues; refer business-critical issues to the BU Director.
• Responsible for all commercial activities associated with the project.

Senior Project Manager – Overview

Murphy is recruiting for a Senior Project Manager to work with Murphy Specialist Business Team on our BESS and Solar Projects. We offer a wide range of services including design, construction and commissioning. We deliver Engineering, Procurement & Construction (EPC) projects serving both regulated and private customers along with technical and engineering solutions within the conventional power and energy transition markets. Responsibilities

• Fully accountable for delivery of projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, in accordance with contract requirements and to budget.

• Line management of Project Managers, Site Managers, Assistant Site Managers and Section Managers.
• Responsible for effective client relationship management, collaborative approach and providing updates to internal and external stakeholders on project/contract progress.
• Ensure risk assessments are created, in place and reviewed as and when required.
• Ensure operating plans are in place to ensure sufficient resources and materials are in place.
• Will be expected to resolve most operational issues with any business-critical issues referred to the BU Director.
• Responsible for all commercial activities associated with the project including delivery of gross margin, management of cost control and other key commercial and financial metrics.
• Overall performance management of subcontractors of the gross margin, management of cost control and other key commercial and financial metrics.

Qualifications

• Experience in delivering HV Transmission & Distribution or Major Civils Projects.
• Experience within a Project Managerial role.
• HNC / HND or NVQ Level 5 (or Degree).
• Experience of working on complex multi-discipline Enhancement projects, delivering within programme and cost controls.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, able to develop close working relationships with clients and subcontractors.
