About the role

We are seeking a Senior Product Designer to join our growing team and help shape the future of how technology empowers neurodivergent individuals and people with physical, sensory, and other disabilities.

This role is a unique opportunity to work across Everway’s broad product portfolio of special education and assistive technology solutions for school and workplace environments. You will collaborate closely with peers in Product Management, Engineering, Research, and Content to deliver thoughtful, inclusive, and innovative design solutions.

As a Senior Product Designer, you’ll be a key contributor to elevating design quality, advancing our design system, and exploring the possibilities of designing with AI. You’ll take ownership of end-to-end design work, from research synthesis and ideation through prototyping and delivery, ensuring that our products are simple, engaging, and empowering for all users.

This is the perfect role for a passionate advocate of user-led thinking, accessibility, and inclusive design who thrives in cross-functional environments and wants to have a tangible impact on the lives of diverse learners and workers.

Main Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners across Product, Engineering, Research, and Marketing to deliver impactful product experiences.
  • Design holistically across multiple products, ensuring coherence and continuity while being able to focus deeply on details when needed.
  • Translate user insights into intuitive, accessible, and scalable design solutions.
  • Contribute to and evolve Everway’s design system, ensuring consistency, scalability, and accessibility across all products.
  • Leverage and experiment with AI-powered design approaches and tools to accelerate workflows, enhance creativity, and improve accessibility outcomes.
  • Create and present design concepts, prototypes, and solutions with clear rationale linked to user and business objectives.
  • Advocate for inclusive design and ensure all work meets or exceeds WCAG standards.
  • Partner with researchers to integrate user insights into iterative design cycles.
  • Facilitate workshops, design reviews, and co-creation sessions with peers and stakeholders.
  • Act as a role model for design craft excellence, sharing knowledge and contributing to a culture of learning and innovation.
Qualifications
  • 3+ years in product design with a strong portfolio demonstrating impactful, user-centered design solutions.
  • Proven experience applying inclusive design practices and accessibility standards.
  • Ability to move fluidly between deep product design work and cross-product strategic thinking, keeping the big picture in mind.
  • Hands-on experience contributing to and evolving design systems.
  • Proficiency in modern design tools such as Figma.
  • Familiarity with AI-enhanced design tools and curiosity about how AI can shape the future of design.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, including the ability to explain design decisions to stakeholders.
  • Understanding of product development methodologies, including Agile, Lean UX, Design Thinking, and continuous discovery.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with education technology and its unique challenges.
  • Advanced prototyping skills (e.g., Protopie, AI-assisted prototyping tools) are a plus but not essential.
