Job description
Welcome to Warner Bros. Discovery… the stuff dreams are made of.

When we say, "the stuff dreams are made of," we’re not just referring to the world of wizards, dragons and superheroes, or even to the wonders of Planet Earth. Behind WBD’s vast portfolio of iconic content and beloved brands are the storytellers bringing our characters to life, the creators bringing them to your living rooms and the dreamers building what’s next. From brilliant creatives to technology trailblazers across the globe, WBD offers career‑defining opportunities, thoughtfully curated benefits, and the tools to explore and grow into your best selves.

Who We Are…

Here you are supported, celebrated, and able to thrive. We are the now and the next – the power behind the people building the future. We are born from the spirit of innovation and the idea that people worldwide want, need, and deserve more. We are the home of the global digital revolution. We are CNN.

Your New Role…

Working across CNN’s new event business, including its signature series ‘Global Perspectives’, the Senior Producer will collaborate closely with the Head of Events and the CNN Broadcast Production team to produce a series of live events worldwide that explore global narratives and deliver world‑class experiences reflecting CNN’s editorial excellence and brand values.

The ideal candidate will bring a strategic mindset, deep production expertise, and a proven ability to lead the development and delivery of complex live events across international markets. Live‑event experience is a must, as is experience within a publisher or media organization, as the events will be filmed for distribution across linear, digital, and social platforms worldwide.

You will oversee end‑to‑end production and collaborate with cross‑functional teams supporting events, editorial production, marketing, creative and event design and branding, audience speaker logistics, and protocol, security, travel and ground transportation teams.

Your Role Accountabilities…
  • Deliver end‑to‑end event production, working closely with the Head of Events and the Broadcast Production team on all technical planning, budgeting, scheduling, and on‑site execution.
  • Own production budgets, timelines, and vendor relationships, ensuring cost‑effective and high‑quality delivery.
  • Drive innovation in event formats, technologies, and audience engagement strategies.
  • Work closely with local editorial teams to ensure their production needs are met.
  • Work directly within a small team, with global responsibilities, based in London and more widely across all business units.
  • Contribute to revenue growth for our new events business as part of CNNIC business annual sales revenue.
Qualifications & Experience…
  • Proven experience producing international or culturally diverse live events.
  • Comfortable working under pressure and to changing timelines and deliverables.
  • Experience in high‑profile event production, ideally within media, corporate, or global brand environments.
  • Exceptional organisational and multitasking abilities, with a history of delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
  • Proven experience of working within a complex matrix organisation with multiple stakeholders.
  • Excellent project management and budgeting skills.
  • Experience working with high‑profile speakers and managing complex stakeholder relationships.
  • Strong editorial judgement and understanding of global issues, current affairs, and cultural dynamics.
  • Must be able to travel and work evenings/weekends at events.
  • Should it be necessary, must be able to be based ‘in‑market’ for 2–4 weeks prior to a major event.
Additional Information

On June 9, 2025, Warner Bros. Discovery announced plans to separate into two publicly traded companies, Warner Bros. and Discovery Global, with an expected completion in mid‑2026. Although you will be hired by Warner Bros. Discovery, upon the planned separation in 2026, your employment likely will transition to Discovery Global. During this period of transformation, you’ll have an exciting opportunity to lay the foundation at one of the world’s premier entertainment brands.
