Role Purpose

We are looking for a Senior Procurement Business Partner to provide category expertise to the business, be a true lead on all things Procurement and effectively consult and influence both internal and external stakeholders. Working as part of the Indirect Procurement team you will promote and implement high professional standards to ensure procurement philosophies are thoughtfully explained and effectively implemented. You will foster positive working relationships both within the team and across functional boundaries using strong EQ to navigate multiple tasks within a matrixed environment.

Main Duties
  • Category Management – Oversee the procurement process for IT categories including hardware, software, cloud services and telecommunications.
  • Strategic Sourcing – Develop and implement sourcing strategies to achieve cost savings and improve supplier performance.
  • Supplier Relationship Management – Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and quality standards.
  • Contract Management – Negotiate and manage contracts ensuring favourable terms and conditions for the organisation.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration – Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand their requirements and ensure procurement activities align with business goals.
  • Process Improvement – Continuously improve procurement processes and workflows to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Data Analysis – Analyse procurement data to identify trends, track savings and report on key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Compliance – Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, procedures and relevant regulations.
  • People Management – Manage at least 1 direct report with the possibility of this increasing as the team grows. Support and motivate Procurement team to achieve departmental measures of performance.
Qualifications
  • Education – Bachelors degree in Business/Supply Chain Management or a related field. A Masters degree or relevant certification (e.g. CIPS) is a plus.
  • Experience – Minimum of 5‑7 years of experience in procurement with a strong focus on IT category management including but not limited to IT (Hardware, Software, IT Services) category and an understanding of different software licence models.
  • Skills – Strong negotiation, analytical and communication skills. Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
  • Knowledge – In‑depth understanding of IT procurement including market trends, cost drivers and best practices.
