Service Care Legal are working a well-regarded, regional law firm with offices in Kent, specialising in private client work—particularly wills, probate, trusts, estate planning, and Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs). They seek a Private Client Solicitor (min. 3 years PQE) to join their friendly and growing team, responsible for supervising 3 junior team members, supported by experienced legal assistants.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a diverse private client caseload, including Will drafting, trust advice, estate administration applications, Court of Protection work and LPA drafting
  • Act as primary contact with executors, trustees and clients; progress cases efficiently and empathetically
  • Supervise and mentor three junior team members, supported by legal assistants in administrative and support duties
  • Engage in time‑recording and billing as part of profitable practice management
  • Maintain high standards of client care and ethics, aligned to firm values of transparency and personal service

The Person

  • Solicitor‑qualified with a minimum of 3 years PQE in private client / wills & probate / trusts / LPAs
  • Strong drafting skills for Wills, LPAs, trust deeds, and probate applications
  • Experience in managing Court of Protection applications and complex estates would be advantageous
  • Proven ability to supervise and develop junior staff in a team setting
  • Excellent time‑management, client communication and billing discipline
