Job Title: Senior Pricing Analyst
Target Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Permanent, Part Time, Full Time, Job Share option available
Salary Range: £40,000 - £50,000
Location: Hybrid - London, once a month

Senior Pricing Analyst: We are looking for an experienced Senior Pricing Analyst who understands what makes retail pricing and commercial success work in Personal Lines insurance. You’ll be using sophisticated statistical techniques to introduce innovative approaches to create value. You will also work closely with Pricing Managers to develop and implement complex solutions that improve pricing capabilities and help shape the strategic direction of the market pricing team and the wider Ageas UK Group.

Main Responsibilities
  • Analyse, interpret, and monitor business data to identify market trends, product opportunities, and key rating factors, using advanced analytics and machine learning techniques to deliver actionable insights.
  • Translate advanced modelling and market insight into commercially impactful pricing recommendations, providing thought leadership to drive business performance.
  • Develop, validate, maintain, and deploy predictive and machine learning pricing models into rating systems (e.g. Radar), ensuring high quality datasets for modelling, pricing, and monitoring.
  • Review live rates, coordinate pricing decisions across teams, monitor the impact of pricing changes post implementation, and ensure compliance with pricing fairness and data usage policies.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on strategic initiatives, represent pricing in senior forums as required, and manage, develop, and coach Pricing Analysts to support capability and talent growth.
Skills and Experience
  • Degree-level education in a numerical discipline with solid statistical and analytical foundations, plus experience in insurance pricing or a related analytics field.
  • In-depth knowledge of General Insurance pricing methodologies, regulatory requirements, and the application of analytics to solve complex business problems.
  • Hands‑on experience with core techniques such as GLMs, predictive modelling, and price optimisation, with exposure to advanced methods (e.g. GBMs, GAMs, neural networks, SVMs).
  • Skilled in analytical programming languages (e.g. SAS, R, Python, SQL) and familiar with pricing and modelling tools such as Emblem, Radar, or similar platforms.
  • Proven ability to coach junior staff, influence senior stakeholders, communicate complex insights clearly to non‑technical audiences, and work proactively with strong organisational and problem‑solving skills.
