Overview

Senior Practitioner – Children with Disabilities in Redcar, UK. This is a full-time locum opportunity on a 6-month contract, offered at £32.97 per hour. The role covers sick leave and provides an opportunity to maintain and develop professional skills within the UK social services context.

Responsibilities
  1. Undertake comprehensive assessments of need in compliance with national guidance, legislation, and Social Work England codes, while adhering to departmental policies and procedures.
  2. Develop and implement effective plans to meet the assessed needs of children, acting as the allocated worker and ensuring their welfare.
  3. Collaborate with children, families, and carers in the assessment, planning, and review of services to ensure a cohesive approach.
  4. Work in partnership with other local authority departments, and statutory, voluntary, and independent agencies to deliver coordinated services.
  5. Uphold professional standards and practices, ensuring responsible decision-making in line with your experience and knowledge.
  6. Identify safeguarding situations and report them through agreed processes to ensure prompt and appropriate action.
Requirements
  • A degree or equivalent in social work.
  • Current Social Work England registration.
  • Significant frontline experience in social services within the UK as a qualified Social Worker.
