Senior Planner

Location: Longfield, Kent

Are you an ambitious Town Planner ready to take the next step in your career? Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a prestigious and award-winning housebuilder in their search for a Senior Planner to join their growing team in Longfield, Kent.

This is an excellent opportunity to work with a respected and design-led developer with a strong pipeline of projects across the South East. You will play a key role in guiding schemes from inception through to delivery, working closely with the in-house land, design and technical teams, as well as external consultants.

The Role
  • Manage and prepare planning applications and appeals.
  • Provide strategic planning advice across a diverse range of residential-led developments.
  • Engage with local planning authorities, stakeholders, and communities.
  • Support land acquisition by assessing planning opportunities and constraints.
  • Contribute to the ongoing growth of the business by identifying planning risks and opportunities.
Requirements
  • MRTPI chartered (or working towards).
  • 3+ years' post-graduate experience within consultancy, housebuilding, or local authority.
  • Strong knowledge of the planning system, particularly residential-led development.
  • Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
  • Ambition, drive, and a collaborative approach.
