Overview

We have a new opportunity for a Senior Piping Designer based in Stockton.

Responsibilities
  • Design of installable-piped systems/ plant layouts that can be safely operated and maintained.
  • Ensuring all relevant standards, instructions and specifications are applied.
  • Interfacing with other disciplines to ensure optimised design.
  • Production of various deliverables e.g., Isometrics, general arrangements
  • Checking of other Designers' deliverables.
  • Working within an integrated design team in the delivery of design packages against milestones.
  • It would be advantageous if they will be familiar with AWE/Amentum Pipe Specifications, Guides, Standards, and Procedures.
  • This role requires interface with Integrated Design Team, facility team, other project functions and must work closely throughout project phases. The ability to work collaboratively in a team environment is essential.
Desirable experience
  • The candidate must demonstrate experience in a similar role or environment having direct influence over development of piping design.
  • The candidate needs experience of working within a highly regulated industry, preferably gained within the Nuclear/Petrochemical industry.
  • To be fully conversant with UK Statutory Regulations and industry design guides and standards relating to this discipline.
  • Ability to manage their own time effectively to ensure tasks are delivered to budget and timescale.
  • Proficiency in the use of 3D modelling software such as REVIT, E3D or similar package.
  • Competent using Navisworks Freedom.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft packages (Excel, Word, Visio, Power point, Outlook, etc).
  • Proactive and driven approach to work, taking ownership of the tasks required to be completed under their remit.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work with other team members.
