A leading healthcare provider in Cardiff seeks an experienced Pharmacy Technician to join their Pharmacy Digital Team. This role focuses on supporting the digital transformation of prescribing and medicines administration, with responsibilities ranging from implementing ePMA systems to conducting training for clinical staff. Candidates should have appropriate qualifications and significant experience in pharmacy practice. Welsh language skills are desirable, and flexible working hours are necessary during the go-live support period.
This post is Fixed Term/Secondment until 01.10.26. Internal applicants applying as a secondment must have agreement from their current manager before application.
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Pharmacy Technician with a passion for digital transformation to join our Pharmacy Digital Team.
This role provides the opportunity to significantly contribute to the digital transformation of prescribing and medicines administration within Velindre University NHS Trust.
The implementation of general ePMA systems will revolutionise medicines processes, enhancing safety and efficiency. Utilising your extensive knowledge of medicines management, you will play an essential role in configuring and testing the ePMA system, developing training programmes, and supporting staff through the transition to digital workflows.
The successful candidate will actively promote digital engagement, support clinical teams, collaborate with digital project teams, and liaise with external stakeholders to ensure successful system adoption.
Extract, manipulate, and report data from the ePMA system to inform clinical governance and performance monitoring
