A leading NHS organization in Colchester is looking for a Senior Pharmacy Assistant to work in the Aseptics Unit. This role involves aseptic preparation of injections, including chemotherapy and intravenous drugs. The position offers training opportunities and a supportive work environment. We have an exciting opportunity within our Aseptics Unit for Senior Pharmacy Assistants to support the growth of the department. You will work as part of a team, within the Aseptic department, providing a high quality, flexible and responsive service. You will aseptically prepare injections ready for patient administration, including chemotherapy (cytotoxic), radiopharmaceuticals and general intravenous drugs. Previous experience of working in a cleanroom environment is desirable, but not essential. We are committed to provide a supportive environment with opportunities for training and personal development. In the future there is a possibility for a Science Manufacturing Technician apprenticeship to enhance career progress. Consideration will be given for strong candidates who may not meet the essential criteria to undertake this role on a developmental basis with set competency targets. Roles offered on a development basis will be banded lower than originally advertised until competency targets are met.
