A leading NHS healthcare provider in York is seeking an experienced clinical pharmacist to enhance patient care for inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) patients. This role will involve prescribing, monitoring therapy, and supporting a multi-disciplinary team. Ideal candidates will have a clinical background in pharmacy. Development opportunities within the organization are available. This position includes on-call and weekend responsibilities.

This new post will be working within an established multi-disciplinary team, you will optimise medicines and provide expertise through:
It is anticipated that this role will be 90% IBD and 10% of core clinical pharmacy work. You will be supported by the Advanced Pharmacist for Gastroenterology/Hepatology who will be your line manager.
Development opportunities are available in the department in terms of clinical practice, research, teaching and leadership. There is an IBD pharmacist network in the region that you will be encouraged to join.
This is a cross-site role with an anticipated 3 days per week at York Hospital and 2 days per week at Scarborough Hospital.
This post participates in the on-call and weekend pharmacist rosters. The post includes weekend work, bank holidays (1 per year) and on-call (from home) rotas. On-call response time to the hospital from home must be within one hour of call if applicable. Please ask for more information.
