Job summary

A UK healthcare organization is seeking a Band 6 Senior Speech and Language Therapist in Torquay to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team. The successful candidate will manage a complex caseload of children with speech and language challenges, providing assessments and interventions based on evidence-based practice. Essential qualifications include a Speech and Language Therapy Degree and HCPC registration. This is a part-time, permanent position with a salary range of £38,682 to £46,580 annually.

Qualifications

  • Proven relevant experience post qualification in managing a complex varied caseload.
  • Experience supervising speech and language therapy programme implementation.
  • In-depth knowledge of children with special needs and associated conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload of children with complex speech, language, and communication needs.
  • Provide clinical support and supervision across designated pathways of care.
  • Coordinate the clinic and oversee day-to-day caseload management.

Skills

Highly developed specialist knowledge
Ability to make differential diagnoses
Experience working within multi-disciplinary teams
Competence in delivering language development training

Education

Recognised Speech and Language Therapy Degree Qualification
Full Registration with Health Professions Council
Registered Member of Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists
