Qualifications

  • Experience in NHS audiology services is required.

  • Professional registration with a recognized body is essential.

Pulse have recently partnered with a leading healthcare provider. We are currently looking for a Senior Paediatric Audiologist who can provide overall support for the clinical leadership for the service. This post is based in Boston, which is easily accessible via public transport.

About the role

As a Senior Paediatric Audiologist, you will be working in a clinical and service development capacity to ensure the service to patients is planned, delivered, and evaluated in line with evidence-based practice. Working closely with the multi‑disciplinary team to help create and maintain a robust service whilst seamlessly incorporating other centre services.

Your main responsibilities as a Senior Paediatric Audiologist
  • Maintain continuous professional development, clinical supervision and training of junior members of staff, managing own caseload
  • Create individual rehabilitation plans for each patient
  • Establish a good rapport and work with patient of all ages, including gaining their co‑operation in clinics and self‑management at home
  • The ability to take accurate ear impressions in both children and adults
  • Verify hearing aid prescriptions for paediatric patients and adults using probetube microphone measurements
  • Work in one or more specialist areas, for this particular role an interest in paediatric audiology; however flexibility to provide support in other areas which may include audio vestibular testing, tinnitus, adults with learning difficulties, dementia care, hearing therapy, adult rehabilitation
