Job description

The post holder will provide a comprehensive range of simple and complex, fixed, functional and removable appliances in technical support to the Orthodontic clinicians. Provide technical support for Oral Surgery, Maxillofacial Surgery and other specialties when required. Provide appliances for sleep apnoea clinic., Maintain a high standard of technical expertise across a broad range of Orthodontic appliances using specialist knowledge of current techniques and innovations as appropriate. When required carry out production work for other clinical specialties appropriate to the grade. Undertake PAR scoring of Orthodontic models to enable clinicians outcomes to be assessed. Assist with supervision and training of junior members of staff. Manage own workload and prioritise work accordingly. Supervise workload of junior staff. Participate in Orthognathic planning and maintain the database. Ability to respond rapidly to clinical need and carry out unscheduled work promptly.
