Job description
Ornithologist

A Senior or Principal grade Ornithologist is required to join a leading company in environmental and advisory solutions in Oxford, with remote working options also available. You will join an supportive and collaborative team to deliver a range of projects including renewables and wind farm developments.

You will have previous experience delivering similar projects, excellent bird ID skills and be able to demonstrate a range of ornithology surveys techniques, including vista points, black grouse, breeding birds and raptors. You will play a key part in delivering ornithological impact assessments and writing EIA chapters for ornithology.

To be considered for this role you will have:

  • A degree in Ecology, Biological Science or similar and CIEEM membership
  • Previous Ornithology experience designing and delivering bird survey programmes
  • Experience with other species would be advantageous (e.g. Bats, habitats, terrestrial mammals)
  • Full UK drivers licence
