A local primary school in Birmingham seeks a Senior Office Manager starting September 2025. The role involves managing office operations, supervising staff, and ensuring quality standards are maintained. What skills and experience we're looking for
To manage the efficient and effective running of the school office, devising new systems as required and improving business efficiency and quality standards.
Supervision of staff as required
Responsibility for establishing contacts with outside suppliers, receipting of goods, and invoice processing through FMS.
Management, collection, and reconciliation of school monies, providing statistical information as required, and administering schemes like free school meals and milk in schools.
Management of petty cash and school fund accounts.
Administration of school admissions procedures and maintenance of pupil information systems on SIMs.
Completion of staff returns and reconciliation of queries.
Managing clerical support such as emails, word processing, reprographics, and filing.
Ensuring the main office and reception are welcoming, calm, and effective.
Working closely with the School Business Manager in administrative routines.
Organizing school visits, camps, and extracurricular activities.
Managing daily and long-term supply needs.
Adhering to and promoting the school's ethos, vision, and aims.
