Job summary

A global financial organisation in Central London is seeking a Network Engineer to manage and evolve its network infrastructure. You will report to the Head of Infrastructure and focus on performance, reliability, and security of a low-latency network. The ideal candidate has extensive experience with Cisco and Arista technologies, firewalls, and a strong understanding of advanced routing protocols. A competitive salary of up to £90,000 plus a discretionary bonus is offered.

Qualifications

  • Strong experience with Cisco and Arista networking technologies.
  • Proficiency with Fortinet or Palo Alto firewalls.
  • Advanced routing and switching knowledge: BGP, OSPF, Multicast.
  • Solid understanding of Linux-based systems.
  • A passion for performance, security, and uptime.

Responsibilities

  • Report directly to the Head of Infrastructure managing global infrastructure.
  • Maintain performance, reliability, and scalability of the network.
  • Manage low-latency network infrastructure.
  • Provide support and proactive monitoring of critical systems.
  • Lead network improvement projects from design to implementation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for secure and efficient networks.
