About the Project: Our client is looking for Software Developers in Test with Networking and Test Automation skillset, within the Team which is currently developing new automation work for our Customer. This Team has the ownership to define the process, debug all aspects of the Products' functionality in its release cycle and work closely together with our Test and Framework Development Team to identify root causes, raise issues accordingly to feature or test developers and triage problems. This team also collaborates closely with the Customer's Developer Team on feature issues and thus reduce the number of flaws in the Product. The Customer relies on us to keep a healthy and real PASS rate of the tests in order to maintain a high performance product and demonstrable quality metrics (Quality Gate). The process needs to scale up to the agile release strategy of the Customer's products.Thus, the ideal candidate has deep knowledge of computer networking, as well as troubleshooting skills necessary to understand and debug efficiently the various testing scenariosOur current team: Our current Test and Framework Development Team is comprised of experienced Automation and Manual QA Engineers, working in an agile process of Product Lifecycle Management. This team provides close assistance to the Release Support Team.Tools and Technologies used: Python 2.x /3.x, Atlassian Suite, VMWare, Jenkins, Bitbucket, Git, KVM/vCenter, Linux, Docker, Ixia,Opportunities: Contribute to automated testcase development and framework development. Debug all functional aspects of the Products and Test Framework, gaining experience in a wide area of technologies and devices (Advanced Applied Python knowledge, Cisco, Juniper, Arista, Cumulus, etc.). Work with containerized environments. Define the Quality Gate process with the help of our existing team, maintaining it and having ownership over it. Collaborate closely with our local team and with the Customer's team.

Responsibilities

• Define and monitor on testing activities for the Apstra AOS product, focusing on datacenter fabrics, EVPN/VXLAN, and spine-leaf architectures.
• Define and maintain the testing and quality strategy for product releases, ensuring validation processes are robust and repeatable.
• Execute, monitor, and analyze automated test suites (primarily written in Python), providing basic debugging and adjustments when required.
• Work closely with engineering teams to isolate, analyze, and resolve defects efficiently.
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructures (multi-vendor: Cisco, Arista, Juniper, Sonic) across both L2/L3 and overlay technologies (VXLAN, EVPN).
• Drive bug triage activities, prioritize issues by severity and impact, and track them through resolution.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to QA/Testing engineers, serving as the go-to expert on networking and testing strategy.
• Contribute to test and release process definition, continuously improving testing frameworks, reporting, and workflows.

SKILLS

Must have

• 4+ years of experience in testing and troubleshooting networking or datacenter products.
• Strong networking expertise (minimum CCNP level): L2/L3, TCP/IP, BGP, VXLAN/EVPN.
• Hands-on experience with at least one major vendor NOS (Cisco IOS/NXOS, Arista EOS, Juniper, Sonic).
• Solid background in testing distributed and highly scalable systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills in complex environments.
• Proficiency with Linux systems (CLI, shell scripting, diagnostic tools like tcpdump/Wireshark).
• Familiarity with bug tracking and collaboration tools (Atlassian suite or equivalent).
• Basic Python skills: ability to read/understand code, run/debug existing automated test suites.
• Proven senior skills: able to define priorities, drive tasks independently, and thrive in a dynamic, customer-driven environment.

Nice to have

• Previous experience defining or improving testing and release processes.
• Deep experience with EVPN + VXLAN deployment and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and related technologies.
• Exposure to virtualization and containerization (VMware vCenter/ESXi, KVM, Docker).
• Hands-on with multiple vendor NOS (Cisco, Arista, Juniper, SONiC).
• Experience writing tools or frameworks to support product testing.
