Job summary

A leading financial services firm is seeking an experienced Senior Underwriter to join their mortgage team. This role involves underwriting new mortgages while supporting junior team members. Qualifications

• Strong experience in complex mortgage underwriting, particularly in residential and BTL.
• Experience assessing complex self‑employed accounts.
• Exposure to complex lending scenarios is essential.
• Willingness to learn Bridging lending.

Responsibilities

• Assess and recommend on cases outside of policy.
• Liaise with customers, brokers, valuers, and solicitors.
• Lead application processes and provide guidance to the team.
• Chair the Credit Committee and make sound credit decisions.
