Senior Mechatronic Engineer

As our Senior Mechatronic Engineer, you'll drive the design, development, and integration of electronics and embedded systems across our product line.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and maintenance of embedded firmware and electronic systems for our core products
- Oversee PCB design, development, and testing, ensuring robust and scalable architectures
- Own hardware and firmware QA processes, troubleshooting and optimizing as needed
- Manage relationships with key third-party vendors and contract manufacturers
- Collaborate closely with production engineers and technicians to ensure seamless integration and support during scale-up
- Drive product certifications (CE, UL, FCC, etc.), preparing all necessary technical documentation
- Maintain clear, detailed documentation of designs, processes, and decision-making
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to building the engineering culture at YUV
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Mechatronics, Electronics, Robotics Engineering or a related field
- Significant hands-on experience developing embedded firmware (C/C++ required, Python a plus)
- Deep experience with PCB design, testing, and troubleshooting
- Strong understanding of system integration, from microcontrollers to sensors and actuators
- Familiarity with Arduino or similar prototyping environments (or equivalent low-level platforms)
- Experience managing third-party electronics vendors and contract manufacturers
- Prior ownership of projects through full development lifecycles — from prototyping to certification and production
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, solution-oriented mindset
- Comfortable operating in a fast-moving startup environment and wearing many hats
Compensation and Location
Hours of work: Full time role, 9am-5pm Monday to Friday. Location: London. Salary: TBD
