As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you'll be a key contributor to a major civil nuclear decommissioning programme. This initiative focuses on the safe dismantling and remediation of legacy nuclear infrastructure, with a strong emphasis on environmental protection, regulatory compliance, and long–term sustainability. You'll work within a multidisciplinary team to develop and integrate complex mechanical systems, applying innovative engineering solutions to support the safe deconstruction and future proofing of nuclear facilities.
Day to day, you'll lead the delivery of complex mechanical engineering tasks, applying deep technical expertise to solve challenging problems, produce and review high quality documentation, and guide junior engineers, while collaborating across disciplines to ensure project milestones are met with precision and integrity.
This is a full time, permanent position (37 hours per week) and provides hybrid working arrangements with three days in the office/onsite, based at one of our key locations: Bristol, Warrington (Cheshire), Hessle (East Riding of Yorkshire), or Preston (Lancashire).
