Job Title: Senior Mechanical Engineer

Location: Newbury Reading + Hybrid Working Arrangement

Role Type: Full time / Permanent

The role

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you'll manage the delivery of engineering and technical activities, applying your process, domain knowledge, and experience.

This is a full-time position, 37 hours per week, based in Warrington, Cheshire. The role offers hybrid working with 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home.

Day-to-day responsibilities include managing customer relationships, liaising with clients, and developing new customer partnerships.

You will ensure procedures, codes, and standards are correctly identified and applied to engineering activities, contribute to the Project Safety Assessment process, and communicate and manage risks effectively.

Produce, review, and approve calculations, analyses, drawings, models, design basis documentation, and technical reports as assigned.

Essential experience of the Senior Mechanical Engineer:

1. Experience working collaboratively in multi-discipline teams on various project types.
2. Proven ability to handle tasks of varying complexity.
3. Strong communication skills and ability to interface with other disciplines.

Qualifications for the Senior Mechanical Engineer:

1. Minimum HNC/HND in Engineering or equivalent experience with significant demonstrable expertise.
2. Chartered Engineer status or actively working towards it.
3. Security Clearance: Must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) clearance.
