Senior Mechanical Design Engineer £50 - £55k

Are you a Mechanical Design Engineer with a passion for solving complex engineering challenges?

We're looking for an experienced engineer to join a forward-thinking team designing large rotating components and mechanical systems for high-performance industrial applications.

This is a hands-on, technically challenging position where you'll take ownership of designs from concept through to manufacture, applying your expertise in stress analysis, FEA, and 3D CAD to deliver innovative, reliable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies for rotating machinery using NX, Inventor, and AutoCAD
• Produce accurate 3D models and detailed 2D drawings in line with manufacturing standards
• Perform engineering calculations, including stress analysis, FEA, and FMEA
• Lead and contribute to new product development and continuous design improvement projects
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation – including BoMs, IOM manuals, and material specifications
