Job description
What you’ll do:
  • Develop and integrate auxiliary systems such as HVAC, fuel, cooling, firefighting, hotel, power and propulsion.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
  • Ensure auxiliary systems are designed for reliability, efficiency and maintainability.
  • Drive innovation in energy efficiency, emissions reduction and sustainable solutions.
  • Produce system calculations, technical specifications, P&ID drawings, design disclosures, FMEA and integration deliverables.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental and regulatory standards.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers, sharing technical expertise.
Qualifications:
  • Degree in Marine/Mechanical Engineering (or related field), or equivalent.
  • Strong background in Naval or Marine Auxiliary systems and Power & Propulsion.
  • Expertise in system integration and familiarity with challenges in integrating auxiliary and power & propulsion systems with other ship systems.
  • Knowledge of industry regulations, system optimisation and integration challenges.
  • Ability to develop power & propulsion architectures and analyse across a range of operating profiles to ensure system optimisation for redundancy and fuel consumption.
  • Experience and awareness of energy‑efficient solutions and emission reduction technologies.
  • Problem‑solving mindset and collaborative approach.
  • Eligible for BPSS clearance (SC clearance may be required).
