Qualifications

Overview

A fantastic job opportunity has arisen for a Senior Manufacturing Engineer in East Sussex. My client is a global centre of excellence, specialising in the design and manufacture of electronic controllers, instrumentation, and drives.

Responsibilities

• Lead the NPI Development team and liaise with design staff to ensure overall quality and delivery of new parts to the highest standards.
• Work to ensure the proposed design concepts can be manufactured cost-effectively.
• Oversee the prototype build of products, prepare relevant documentation and actively participate in PFMEAs and DFMEs.
• Work with Operations personnel to optimise and layout assembly areas and the assembly tooling used in the NPI build.

Qualifications

• Experience with PCBA and leading a manufacturing or production team.
• Experience in a NPI and NPD role within electronics assembly, and/or PCB/cable assembly or electronics box build.
• Experience in the use of ERP/MRP systems (SAP preferable).
• Engineering degree or equivalent and provable experience in a similar position.
• Awareness of all types of electronic printed circuit assembly techniques is beneficial.
