Job description
About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Corporate Brand & Communications Manager to join the business on a 12 month FTC. They will be responsible for leading the positioning, messaging, PR and effective application of our global brand across the PEI Group ecosystem.

As part of the Marketing team, this role will shape how our company — a trusted source of news, intelligence, and connections for the global private markets community — is perceived by prospects, clients, employees and industry participants. You will be responsible for defining our corporate narrative, evolving our brand architecture, messaging for key audience personas, strengthening brand cut through across all markets, and driving communications that enhance our reputation as a leading platform for professionals in and around the private capital markets.

This is a strategic and hands‑on role for a professional with a strong understanding of financial audiences, brand management, PR and high‑impact corporate communications.

Key Responsibilities
Brand Strategy & Development
  • Define, evolve, and execute the company’s corporate brand strategy and market positioning in alignment with business growth objectives and PEI leadership vision.
  • Lead brand architecture, package and product positioning and messaging to clearly articulate our role and value within the private markets’ ecosystem.
  • Use market research, competitive intelligence, and audience insights to refine brand direction and build differentiation in a complex, changing marketplace where high quality, trustworthy, accurate and actionable data is harder to find.
Brand Identity & Governance
  • Oversee the ongoing development, rollout, and enforcement of brand guidelines, ensuring consistent use of tone of voice, and messaging across global regions, business lines, and platforms, working with the head of global marketing design to evolve our visual identity.
  • Partner with product marketing, editorial, networks and regional marketing teams to create brand-aligned assets and experiences that reflect our authority and trust in private markets.
  • Lead brand education, ambassadorship and governance, ensuring all stakeholders understand and apply brand standards effectively.
Corporate Messaging & Communications
  • Lead the development of the new corporate narrative — defining how we speak about our purpose, vision, and role in shaping the global private markets conversation.
  • Work with brand repositioning agency to create and manage messaging frameworks for corporate, product, and partnership communications, ensuring alignment across external and internal channels.
  • Lead corporate and external communications, including media relations, press releases, news announcements, and product launches. Develop detailed plans to maximise exposure and awareness of PEI networks, events and business information brands.
  • Partner with business leaders, product and content teams to identify valuable content, build visibility and thought leadership in key financial and business media outlets.
External Engagement & Reputation
  • Build strategy and execute plan to maximise awareness of PEI Group and its brands’ data, research and intelligence within mainstream and financial media. Maximise quality mentions and coverage of PEI content and talent to step-change awareness and understanding of our overall corporate value proposition.
  • Drive the creation of company visibility programs, including thought leadership content, conference participation, and speaking opportunities (outside of our own media).
  • Monitor and analyze media coverage, sentiment, and competitor activity, delivering actionable insights to leadership.
  • Manage brand and communications risks, ensuring timely and strategic responses to emerging issues.
  • Support the promotion of the company’s ESG, innovation, and diversity agenda within the employee value proposition.
About You
Qualifications & Experience

  • Strong understanding of global financial markets, including the media, data, and technology landscape.
  • Proven success in developing and implementing corporate brand strategies that drive reputation, awareness, and commercial impact.
  • Exceptional writing, messaging, and storytelling skills with the ability to distil complex financial and business concepts into clear, engaging communications.
  • Experience managing external brand agencies, creative teams, and media relationships, as well as working with internal design and product marketing teams.
  • Strategic thinker with strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills.
