Senior Maintenance Surveyor

London, Liverpool Street hybrid working 2 days office based per week

Permanent, full (37.5 hpw)

Salary circa £60,000 to £65,000 pa, based on skills and experience, with brilliant benefits!

You’ll lead a group of skilled surveyors, bringing your technical expertise to help raise the bar on quality and repairs. Your decisions will shape homes and lives, not just bricks and budgets. Whether you’re mentoring a team member, managing contractors, or spotting the small details that make a big difference, you’ll be helping us deliver the safe, warm homes our customers deserve. What you’ll do
  • Lead and develop a team of Maintenance Surveyors, to deliver the right output, content and quality services
  • Support customers by solving challenges and improving property standards
  • Manage performance, and provide strategic direction for the surveying team
  • Lead by example across inspections, preparation of specifications, and ensuring repairs standards are met
  • Be the technical expert and lead on complex repairs, damp and mould, disrepair, adaptations and HHSRS
  • Keep track of budgets and influence how we deliver great value.

You have
  • RICS, CIOB accredited Building Surveying degree or equivalent qualificationand/or strong experience built up through your working profession
  • A PCA QT level qualification or a willingness to complete this qualification
  • Great knowledge of housing legislation, HHSRS and building compliance
  • Confidence with damp and mould advice and managing complex repairs
  • A self-starter mindset with care and attention to detail
  • A collaborative way of working and clear, calm communication skills.
The practical bits
  • You’ll work Monday to Friday
  • You’ll manage your own diary, so if you want to take a longer lunch, you can use your flexi time to manage that!
  • To get from A to B, you’ll need a vehicle insured for business purposes. The great news is that we’ll pay your mileage!
  • You need a Basic DBS check done and we pay for that.
