Job description
Senior Resident Doctor – Haematology

Manchester Royal Infirmary is recruiting a Senior Resident Doctor in Haematology to join our dynamic and expanding Haematology Department at Manchester Royal Infirmary, part of the Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust (MFT). This senior clinical fellow post offers comprehensive training in both malignant and non‑malignant haematology, research, audit, and teaching opportunities within a supportive academic environment.

Who should apply?
  • A doctor at IMT3 level or equivalent seeking clinical and laboratory experience in haematology prior to applying for higher specialist training.
  • Doctors with previous haematology experience looking for a middle‑grade, non‑training role, or considering the CESR pathway towards specialist registration.
Key responsibilities
  • Work closely with the consultant and nursing team to support all aspects of the Haematology Department.
  • Participate in active clinical trials including early‑phase studies.
  • Assist with patient care across the haematology pathway.
  • Collaborate with clinical research teams and contribute to audit and teaching activities.
