Our client

Our client, a fast-growing insurance business, is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to join their legal team. The role involves a wide range of legal work within a high-performing, close-knit team. The position reports to the General Counsel and may include management responsibilities. It can be based remotely with occasional travel to the office.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide expert legal advice and support, focusing on personal lines insurance products.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, policy documents, and TOBAs.
  • Advise on regulatory compliance, consumer protection, and data privacy issues.
  • Support broader corporate, commercial, IP, and data protection matters.
  • Potential management responsibilities for the successful candidate.

Experience requirements:

  • Qualified lawyer with 5+ years post-qualification experience.
  • Experience in the insurance sector.
  • Strong understanding of FCA regulations and insurance distribution rules.
  • In-house experience preferred.
  • Exceptional drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
