The Role

A leading international law firm is seeking a Senior Cashier Coordinator to join its London finance team on a 12-month fixed term contract. This role plays a key part in maintaining accurate financial records across business, client, and personal accounts, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and supporting multi‑office operations. The ideal candidate will bring strong legal finance experience, a proactive mindset, and a meticulous approach to cash management and reconciliations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations across business and client accounts
  • Ensure accurate posting of journals, disbursements, and refund payments
  • Monitor currency accounts and process FX trades with banking partners
  • Maintain personal account balances and process internal cost transfers
  • Review and process billing write‑offs and office receipts across multiple jurisdictions
  • Calculate accrued interest and ensure timely posting of client transactions
  • Liaise with Partners, lawyers, and compliance teams on client account activity
  • Daily compliance with Solicitors Accounts Rules (SAR)
  • Respond to general accounting queries and assist with ad‑hoc finance projects
About You
  • Proven experience in a legal cashiering role within a law firm
  • Familiarity with 3E Elite or similar accounting systems
  • Strong understanding of SAR and legal finance compliance
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities
  • Reliable, collaborative, and confident working independently or within a team
